The Royal International Air Tattoo

The Royal International Air Tattoo is the biggest military air show in the world which is based in Fairford, Gloucestershire. This wondrous event has been running for over 50 years and attracts up to 170,000 people. The Royal International Air Tattoo will display a range of aircrafts in all different shapes and sizes, from all eras and countries. Every spectator will be fuelled with adrenalin and awe from the echoes filling the atmosphere.

This is the second year Site Event has had the honour of supplying the sanitation for The Royal International Air Tattoo. We are supplying our toilet trailers, urinals and all of our luxury vacuum toilet pods. 4 years ago, Site Build created our vacuum pods which were a first for the huge event industry! Our hardworking Site Build team create these pods from scratch; from making the frame to wiring up the indicator light.

These pods encompass a state-of-the-art vacuum system, similar to the toilets on an aeroplane. Therefore, our pods are environmentally friendly due to not having any chemicals within them. Furthermore, our vacuum toilet pods only use 0.5 L of fresh or recycled grey water, and multiple units can be delivered on one load. Site Event’s vacuum pods can be efficiently serviced through a daisy-chain system causing no downtime to the end user.

In addition to all of this, our luxury vacuum toilet pods have a red and green indicator lights above each stall showing the end-user whether the toilet is vacant or engaged. This system reduces queue time and improves user experience. These pods can also be teamed with our revolutionary app INDICATE. Our specially designed app provides a full overview of your sanitation in real-time. You can access this information from any mobile device; anywhere in the world. Additionally, The INDICATE app sends notifications if a pod has been locked too long and notifying you should a unit need a clean. INDICATE has everything you need to manage your event sanitation!

The Royal International Air Tattoo is one of the largest & prestigious military airshows in the world which is held at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. Site Event are proud to supply our full selection of products. Which includes; 30 x 6 bay vacuum pods, 20 x 3 bay vacuum pods, 16 x toilet trailers, 12 x urinal trailers & over 300 single plastic toilets. The event also contracts us for the full wet waste management which is in the region of 160,000 gallons take off site over a 3 week period. We have a large team onsite with several of our senior managers organising a team of 30 staff. It's an incredible event and something we all look forward to every year.
